Around Parit Buntar

In Buntar not much to see, but can see some of the historial place like The Old Clock Tower, The longest river in Perak the kerian river come from Sungai Udang to Bukit Merah. In town we have Famous Billion Super Market, Kodak Digital Camera Shop, And a good computer shop. For tourist no problem, you can what ever things here. There are 3 Hotels and the well know is Damai Hotel and Buntar Inn. Its a border town between Penang, Kedah and Perak. Its divided to to 3 parts, the Old Town, (Pekan Lama) the New Town (Pekan Baru) and Main Town (Pusat Bandar). Old Town is famous for it play ground and sidewalk along the riverside. Many famous food stall can be found here. New Town is well know for its Multiracial School know as Sekolah Kebangsaan Wawasan and some 5 storey building coming up in future. Here there is big Food Count all kinds of food, Chinese ,Malay and Indian Foods can be found here. In the Main Town can see a few supermarket, shops, fish martket and the Bus Station.

In the year 2008 I will be having two canoes on this river. Kerian River is longest river in Perak. It start from Sugai Udang, Nibong Tebal and end up in Bukit Merah Lake town, Taiping. Now if any one interested we can hire one or more. Its about RM 20. for a day. You can even camp along the riverside.
