Bicycle Touring Cyclist, Asia on Travel Bike

 Cyclist from Scotland 1

Mark Beanmont

 How I meet Mark
I was riding with motorbike to my work place. Suddenly I saw a cyclist coming  opposite my direction at road No.1 Butterworth - Ipoh at  120km to Ipoh. I stop him and talk to him for a few moment. He is a very nice and friendly guy. I wish I host him in my house one or two days like other
Visiting Cyclists. But for him is breaking the world record to complete cycle round the world before 210 days. The current Guinness World Record for cycling around the world is 276 days 19 hrs 15 min - just over 9 months. Mark is planning to smash this by cycling around the globe in under 210 days. This seven month race will include 20 countries through Europe, the Middle East, Asia, Australasia and North America before finishing from Lisbon, Portugal back to the finish line in Paris. An hour early I had breakfast with a Ireland cyclist who spend a night in my house. So I told Mark that there is Ireland cyclist heading to Ipoh. And Mark was keen in meeting Aengus Eire. It's normal for travelers to meet our own country man or someone near our country in other countries. Hope Mark meets Aengus on the road.
